Care
Spinal adjustment
A hands-on adjustment of the joints of the spine and the rest of the body, given by a licensed chiropractor.
For adults and teenagers who want hands-on care and an explanation of it. The doctor chooses a technique that suits you, and it may be gentler than you expect.

What to expect
What a visit includes
A talk, a short exam of the area that brings you in and, if the doctor recommends it and you agree, an adjustment.
The doctor explains what they will do first
You may stop or say no at any point
An itemized receipt
How long and how often
A return visit is short. After the exam your doctor suggests a plan and changes it as you go. We do not promise a number of visits.
What we do not claim
We do not promise results, and results vary. We do not say that an adjustment treats or cures a condition.
Risks
Soreness afterward is common. Rare serious problems have been reported after neck adjustments, so your doctor explains the risks before any neck adjustment. If you would rather not have your neck adjusted, say so.
A full visit includes an adjustment. An adjustment-only visit is for patients the doctor already knows. Both are explained on the page about how fees work.
Questions about this care
Will an adjustment hurt?
Many people feel pressure and a stretch, and some feel sore for a day or so. The doctor chooses a technique that suits you, and we stop whenever you say so.
How many visits will I need?
Your doctor suggests a plan after the exam and changes it as you go. We do not promise a number of visits, and you may stop whenever you choose.
Do you adjust the neck?
Only if the doctor recommends it and you agree, after the risks are explained. You may choose a different technique or no neck adjustment at all.
Ask about a first visit
