First visit
Your first visit
About 45 minutes, in this order. You hear the risks and the cost before any care.
Come as you are. You may bring someone with you, and you may ask for the written estimate before you ever walk in.

What happens, step by step
- 01
Step 1: Before you come
Call or send the form. We ask for your name, your phone and a good time to reach you, and nothing about your health. Ask for the written estimate now if you like.
- 02
Step 2: At check-in
Bring a photo ID and, if you use insurance, your card. A friend or family member may stay with you.
- 03
Step 3: The talk
The doctor asks about your history and what you would like help with. You tell as much or as little as you like.
- 04
Step 4: The exam
A hands-on exam of the area and a few simple movements. X-rays only when medically necessary, and only after the doctor explains why.
- 05
Step 5: The explanation
The doctor says what they found, what a plan could look like and the risks, and you get the cost in writing. You may take it home and decide later.
- 06
Step 6: Care, if you agree
If you both agree, you may have care that day. If not, you pay for the visit and go home with your questions answered.
What to bring
Your ID and your card
A photo ID, and your insurance card if you use insurance.
Clothes you can move in
Comfortable, loose clothes. You stay dressed for the exam.
Your questions
Write them down. The doctor answers all of them before care begins.
Before your first visit
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Call or send the form, and the front desk will find a time.
Can I bring someone?
Yes. A friend or family member may stay with you through the whole visit.
What if I am nervous?
Tell us at check-in. The doctor explains each step before doing it, and you may stop at any point.
Ask for your estimate first
The front desk gives it in writing, before your visit.
